The Preshal Trust has 6 full time staff, 6 part time staff and 1 sessional worker who work under the direction of a Board of Trustees.
Founded Preshal Trust in 2002.
“God gave me a vision because ‘without a vision people are perishing’. Preshal Trust is all about love. Anyone who visits us the first thing they say is that they sense the love and get a great welcome. The bible tells us ‘love your neighbour as yourself’ and the greatest joy for me is seeing families who are broken and faced terrible burdens finding hope, finding peace and finding the greatest of gifts, love, and having new lives. Preshal has seen many changed lives.”
“Preshal for me is a place where people are welcome without exclusion, a safe and caring environment, where we help and support each other through life's challenges. Preshal is a place of fun and laughter and also a refuge for those in desperate need.”
“I started with the Trust in 2006. I feel so blessed to be working with the Team at Preshal who, through their care, support, encouragement and guidance have transformed lives that were helpless and broken into lives full of hope, strength, courage and confidence. Preshal is a safe harbour from the storms of life.”
“I really enjoy working at the Preshal Trust and with the people who come into the centre and I also love the great team spirit we have among the staff. For me, it is an eye-opening experience to work with disadvantaged people and to see how they are well pleased with the skills that they are gaining through the cooking classes. It is a pleasure to work here because of the good it does throughout the community.”
“I really love working at Preshal – it's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love to work in the kitchen with Tony who has been the best teacher I have ever had. I could only make 1 type of soup when I started, now I can make around 15 different soups! I love serving the people of Preshal and being able to share my faith with them.”
“I started with the Trust in 2004 and through the years I have met so many wonderful people and got to know so much about the issues that the clients face on a daily basis. It has been amazing to see the difference that Preshal has made in their lives by caring for them even taking care of people's basics needs such as food and clothing which has been so essential.”
“I have been involved with the Trust since it began in 2002. I really enjoy working with all the people that come into the centre and all the different issues and problems that they have. I love getting to know them and caring for them and hope that through the love and care and help that we give them that we can make a positive difference in their lives. It is so rewarding to see the changes in their lives.”
“I have been involved with the Preshal since its commencement in 2002. I have seen a lot of changes from starting off in the old church hall with hardly a cup and saucer. It's been amazing over the last 12 years watching it grow and I never thought it would have been possible to achieve the amazing things we have especially our new building.”
