YOUTH PROJECT

For years Govan young people have congregated in a local park and other areas close to the Trust's premises and there they participate in drug and alcohol abuse, which often leads to anti-social behaviour. Gangs have also emerged and tensions within Govan's youth are increasingly becoming apparent. It is in this context that Preshal's youth project was established in April 2008.The Trust had long aspired to provide some form of diversionary activity and this became possible with additional financial help, especially from Ebenezer Evangelical Church, Motherwell
