Preshal
is planning to replace its cramped, inadequate, inefficient and temporary
building in Aboukir Street, Linthouse, Govan with a purpose-built construction.
Architect's drawings envisage an adequate reception area, a kitchen
fit for purpose, a hall for varied uses, classrooms, a children's area,
a fitness suite, a quiet room and a reasonable storage capacity. Such
a building will take Preshal into the 21st century and give the community
the facilities they need and deserve.
Temporary accommodation will be sought during the rebuilding process
in order that Preshal's work continues uninterrupted.
The likely costs of the project will be in excess of £2 million
and Preshal will seek to raise this sum through an appeal which will
be launched shortly.
